If the person refuses a breakfast, it becomes very difficult to work in the afternoon. Besides, those who don't eat in the morning generally eat in the evening and, alas, it leads to weight gain.

Specialists of the Carlos III National Center of Cardiovascular Scientific Researches in Madrid (Spain) have found: if person misses a breakfast, risk of development of atherosclerosis increases more than twice. The research was conducted with volunteers who were divided into three groups.

Participants of the first group didn’t have breakfast and drank only coffee or juice. Participants of the second group ate low-calorie products for breakfast, and the third group ate high-calorie products. More than four thousand people have participated in this experiment. It emerged that symptoms of atherosclerosis were more often found at people who didn’t have breakfast and also at those who chose low-calorie products.

There were also made measurements of waists, and waist measurement was greater at those who didn’t have breakfast as well as arterial blood pressure, levels of fats and blood sugar were higher. Nutritionists consider that breakfast should be high-calorie and it should include protein food. For example, in the morning it is useful to eat an omelet or fried eggs with vegetables; yogurt, or porridge from whole grains with a piece of meat and vegetables, muesli with fruits or dried fruits is also suitable.
